Explanation
The beautiful Trifid Nebula, which is also known as M20. A star that is forming in the plane region of our galaxy. Trifid is like an illustration of 3 different nebulae, which are dominated by red emission nebulae, which are dominated by light coming from hydrogen atoms.

Besides blue reflection nebulae about which we have talked about in Marsyfact that the blue which is produced by the dust which is reflecting the starlight and dark nebulae where dense dust is appearing along with it and give shape to a beautiful cosmic painting about which we have talked about in Marsyface which you can read by scrolling.

MarsyFact of the Day
Did you know?
The Trifid Nebula is a Triple Wonder!
Â
The Trifid Nebula, located 5,000 light years away from us in the constellation Sagittarius, gets its name from the Latin word “trifidus,” which means “split into three”.
Â
And its shape looks almost exactly like its name – a glowing cloud divided by three distinct dark lanes made up of thick dust, making it one of the most photogenic nebulae in the sky.
Â
But here’s a kicker:
The Trifid is not just a single nebula; it is three-in-one:
Â
A reflection nebula with its (blue par )
An emission nebula with its (pink/red part)
And a dark nebula with (black dust lanes)
Â
The photo you are looking at is like a cosmic painting showing the birth of a new star while hiding a young protostar with its dusty pockets.
